Pine Biotech has been working together with several universities around the world to pilot the OmicsLogic training program. A typical pilot included 10-100 participants, both students and faculty, that dedicated regular time to review the online courses, project examples and hands-on workshops dedicated to various aspects of bioinformatics.

The case studies demonstrate how our unique materials and services help address a pressing challenge – the application of data science principles to biomedical data. The approach has shown to be effective in a variety of contexts – undergraduate extra credit courses, pan-campus setting as well as for graduate research support. We are continuing to review and improve our materials and are refining our approach to make sure the OmicsLogic training program, online educational courses, and our T-BioInfo platform help to make bioinformatics more accessible to everyone.

“This course was great for me as I was hoping to refresh my basics of bioinformatics and learn new concepts in-depth. In addition, the lectures and hands-on training were very interesting and informative. The structure of the class allowed excellent back-and-forth among the students and faculty. Pine Biotech’s platform is very comprehensive and intuitive. This course is a good starting point for someone trying to understand the field of bioinformatics or refresh their knowledge.”

MS Biotechnology program from Georgetown University

Pine Biotech has done a great job putting together concise, informative, project based courses around bioinformatic topics. They also have a pipeline to analyze data that seems robust and comprehensive for almost any type of bioinformatic analysis. I say this as a scientist and an educator.

Dr. Ian Townley

Professor of Practice, Department of Cell & Molecular Biology, Tulane University, USA

I joined the Hands-on training in Bioinformatics and Biomedical Data Science program because I want to learn Basics of NGS data analysis. I realized that the T-bio.Info platform is very user friendly and will help me understand the RNA-Seq data analysis in a simplified way. This course was well organised. The materials are self explanatory and well designed. I enjoyed the practical sessions and I am hoping to apply these skills in my projects to analyse my data.

Dr. Saumyaranjan Mallick

Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology, AIIMS, India

After a lot of searching and getting to know about this great platform, I joined the training program led by recognized leaders. The material of training course were well explained, up to date and well organised in a way that all students were enjoying the practice examples. I acquired astonishing skills like machine learning and genomic data analysis techniques. Now I am able to apply these skills and knowledge to real world problems.

Muhammad Faizan

Graduate Biotechnology Student from University of Science and Technology, Pakistan

I’m a Data Enthusiast and I joined the course because I wanted to have a hands on experience dealing with real world data. Though I do not have any background in biology, the concepts were well explained with links to lot of informative videos. The modules were well organised with detailed explanations for the logic behind the pipelines. Every Time I was stuck, my queries were answered immediately. Great support staff. It was rewarding experience and I am hoping to apply the acquired skills in a real-world project and see how well I understand the concepts.

Pooja Yalala

Graduate Student at University of Nebraska, Omaha

The hands-on training in Bioinformatics and data science did a wonderful job to educate me quite a lot about several facets of bioinformatics approaches: the underlying science, practical tools, and an online platform for research. The training series and modules is a comprehensive package that is very hard to find in one place anywhere else. The program is a perfect way to engage yourself in the areas of bioinformatics, genomics, and big data. It has been a great experience and I would recommend to everyone who is passionate about NGS data analysis and machine learning.
