Summer Bioinformatics Workshop series is being organized in collaboration with Dr. Iqbal’s Lab at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Pine Biotech. The series consists of three hands-on workshops:
- Next Generation Sequencing and Precision Oncology
- Systems-biology and Precision Oncology
- Single-Cell-Resolution in Precision Oncology
Purpose of this workshop series: To introduce students and post-docs to analytical techniques utilized in oncology research. These methods are widely utilized across top US universities and include:
- processing, analysis and interpretation of omics data
- integration of multi-omics data and systems biology interpretation
- single cell analysis of multi-omics datasets
Why should you join these workshops:
- find, evaluate and upload the data to the setver
- understand the types of omics data available and their meta-data
- analyze the processed data for associations useful to answer your research question
- mine big datasets like TCGA for hypothesis-generating insights
- utilize a streamlined environment to process and integrate your data with public-domain datasets

How is the workshop conducted? Are these online sessions? Are these lectures/presentations type of sessions, or is there hands-on training as well? Thanks
Hello Akhil,
The workshop will be conducted online. These are the workshops in which we will work on a dataset. It’s not a training program.
Thanks
